2020 Vineyard Progress

The 2020 year is starting out nicely with lots of good growth on the vines. We've been able to thin the buds and prevent overgrowth, while getting the proper spacing between the canes. Hopeful that our efforts payoff with a great, easy to harvest crop.

A new addition for us in 2020, for free, as long as we do the work, is a small Syrah Vineyard located in San Martin consisting of approx. 125 vines. We were told the vines are around 20 years old. They look to be in good shape, but we'll know more later after we have thinned them out. Our problem will be, do we bottle two different Syrahs? One from our grapes (Estate) and the other from San Martin, or just put them all together? Only time will tell. More pictures to follow, but this is our first view of the San Martin Syrah (SMS).
