CA ABC License applied for!

Updated: Sep 5, 2021

Last Friday we submitted our documents to ABC and were told we should hear back in a week or so. If all goes well we'll get our license to sell and open sometime October or November of 2021.

We've secured some additional grapes for 2021, expanding on what we have for the 2020 vintage. For 2020 wine we have Syrah, Zinfandel, Merlot, Petite Verdot, Malbec, Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, all of which are doing well in their oak barrels. Our Estate Chardonnay only produced enough juice in 2020 to make 38 bottles, but for 2021 we've are set to get 2 to 3 tons of grapes from a local vineyard. This should net us 1100 to 1600 bottles of wine. Our plan is to oak a portion of the Chardonnay giving us two different flavor profiles from the same grape. In addition to the varietals listed above we'll be adding Barbera to the 2021 list. This will give us nine different varietals of wine to offer along with the two versions of Chardonnay.

Stay safe out there, hope to see you soon.
